CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

Is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model.
CSR policy takes into account needs and expectations of employees, customers, business partners and local communities. CSR also embraces company’s contribution toward preserving and protecting the natural environment. Generally speaking, the company and the people it serves should get along with each other.

The 21st century has brought many changes to the way businesses operate today. As it is clear that the era of labour’s exploitation and profit orientation has ended, more and more companies, also in Poland, turn to sustainable development, which is the element of CSR. Satisfaction and high morale of employees, positive business image and increased competitiveness are only a few potential benefits of CSR policy.
As a strong supporter of the sustainable development idea, Dompol constantly raises CSR awareness of its employees and business partners.

In order to successfully implement an effective Corporate Social Responsibility policy (CSR), the company introduced new regulations to benefit the employees. One of them is a flexible rota for 16 women who work in Dompol.
Disabled workers are always given the same attention as the rest of the team. Employing handicapped people is still not popular, especially among big companies. Dompol’s management gives an equal chance to all candidates; having disabled employees in the team surely helps the others to break down integration barriers and fight negative stereotypes. Although the key to success lies mainly in adjusting work duties to skills suited to fulfil the requirements of particular career, not many companies are eager to give everyone the same chance.

At the moment, there are 53 disabled persons employed in Dompol. The company covers their expenses on specialized equipment, medicines and rehabilitation camps.

Company’s concern about the natural environment is also reflected in waste management. The production facility is heated by MDF/HDF waste incineration unit. PVC and PET waste is safely stored and handed over to companies which specialize in waste processing.

All employees are at least partially involved in pro-environmental activities, as they organize selective collection of used paper, board and stretch foil. All collected waste is processed by recycling companies.

Pro publico bono

Dompol, as a socially conscious company, gives a helping hand to families in need and endows schools and local communities.
The company participates in Szlachetna Paczka project run by Stowarzyszenie Wiosna, the non-profit charitable organization, which financially supports poverty-stricken families.
In order to ensure better quality standards in educational services for young people, Dompol provides equipment and teaching and learning aids to vocational schools in Walbrzych county.
The company also offers financial aid to its employees and their relatives.
